The Brazilian star Extends Sincere Sorry to Los Blancos Fans

Vinicius Jr in action

Vinicius Jr has netted five finishes in 10 La Liga outings so far this term.

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his response when replaced in the recent heated Clasico clash win.

The Brazilian was replaced in the 72nd minute and displayed his frustration by walking immediately to the dressing room.

He eventually reappeared to the bench and, after his side's 2-1 win, sought to engage the opposition's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury final whistle incidents.

"Now I want to say sorry to all the Real Madrid fans for my behavior when I was taken off in the Clasico," he posted on his account.

"Similarly to I have said in person during this morning's training, I also want to apologise again to my colleagues, the team, and the leadership.

"Sometimes emotion overcomes me because I constantly desire to succeed and assist my club. My winning mentality stems from the passion I have for this institution and each thing it stands for."

He moved to the Spanish capital from his former club in recent years for a significant fee and has accumulated triple figures in 335 appearances.

But his prospects in the Spanish capital is uncertain with reports in recent months indicating that the club would consider allowing the young star move on if they were to receive a suitable offer.

When he was replaced on Sunday, broadcast footage from coverage provider the service picked him up saying: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I go, I'm moving on."

In his most recent message on X, the athlete stated: "I commit to keep battling constantly for the good of Los Blancos, as I have performed since the first day."
